Take Two Moons & Call Me In The Morning

Jake Kimble

June 4th – August 1st, 2026

Opening Reception: June 4th, 2026, 4-7pm

Ceremonial/Art is thrilled to present Chipewyan (Dënesųłıné) artist Jake Kimble’s inaugural solo exhibition in Vancouver, Take Two Moons & Call Me In The Morning. Thinking about photography through a Northern lens and how healing the cold can be, Kimble brings forth new works that were developed over the course of their 2 month residency at the Klondike Institute of Art In Culture in Dawson City, Yukon. Acts of self-care, self-repair, & a cheeky disposition towards survivance are all at play in this new body of work.

“I was in Dawson City, Yukon for two full moons which was incredibly healing so I began thinking of a full moon as medicine, my own kind of pill meant for recovery. That in combination with the adage ‘take two BLANK and call me in the morning’ is where the title for this show comes from. A body of work that serves as testament to how the North will always put me back on my feet.”
